Happy May 2024!
May is Homeschool Awareness Month! This special month aims to demonstrate how homeschooling can be a better option than regular schooling for many kids and that they can have an equivalent, if not better, education while learning from home. At least we don’t have to deal with all the bad influences that are rampant in public schools, nor do we have to be afraid of school shootings. And transgender bathrooms? We all use the same one anyway!
Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated during the first full week of May – this year it runs from May 6–10, 2024 – followed by Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12th. Home educators don’t always get the credit they deserve, so be sure to do something nice for your mom who teaches you so much!
My mom taught me by example how to be strong, persevering, resilient, patient and kind. Looking back over the years on the countless sacrifices she made to ensure my happiness and success, it amazes me how selfless she was while struggling with her own issues. I never thought I’d say this, but I want to grow up to be just like my mom. 🙂
