April ushers in a whole month devoted to Spring, enjoying the outdoors, and getting busy doing things.
National Park Week is happening April 20 to April 28 this year. Entrance fees will be waived on April 20, 2024, to kick off the celebration and to encourage everyone to enjoy their national parks in person.
National Volunteer Week is celebrated annually during the third week of April and this year it will be observed from April 21 to 27.
Earth Day is Monday, April 22, encouraging education and stewardship of the planet’s natural resources.
Along with all the Spring holidays, April is a good month for Spring cleaning. Declutter your room, pick up the yard, and start a garden while you’re at it.
Plus, it’s National Poetry Month! So when you can’t play outside because of the rain, stay indoors and unleash your creativity! Write a poem with a Spring theme or do the April Showers Art Challenge in this month’s infographic.
