When it comes to eating healthy and taking care of your body, smoothies are becoming a trend these days, mostly because of their dense nutritional health benefits. They are easy to digest, provide you with a maximum opportunity to gain all the nutrients, and offer you a great addition to your meal plan and lifestyle. That being said, here are a couple of amazingly quick smoothie recipes that you can make for you and your family, which are fresh, whole foods with many vitamins and minerals!

Green Fruit Supreme

This amazing smoothie literally tastes like a fruit Popsicle! It is naturally sweet and has many flavors as well. The ingredients are as follows and serves one portion (if you want to make this smoothie for two or more people, simply double or triple the quantity of ingredients accordingly): ¼ of a banana, ¼ of a mango, 2 or 3 pineapple slices, 5 romaine leaves, and ¼ cup of water. Put all of these ingredients into the blender and mix together at a high speed for about 2 minutes. Pour into a cup and drink fresh. The best thing is to drink it first thing in the morning to start up your digestion. It is a tasty delight for all!

Avocado Lemon Bliss

This yummy treat has the addition of healthy fats from the avocado as well as the delicious taste to accompany it! Here are the ingredients: 1 cup of water, ¼ of an avocado, ½ of a lemon, 3 tablespoons of coconut water (optional-has extra magnesium great for post workouts), a handful of greens such as lettuce, romaine, spinach, etc., ¼ of a banana, and 1 tablespoon of a protein powder. The protein powder is important once in a while. You want those extra minerals to be easily absorbed by your body. Here is one of the good powders, which is all organic: Organic Plant Protein Smooth vanilla by Garden of Life. Enjoy!
