Teach Teens Real Science, Like Human Biology

Human biology

Our bodies are fascinating. Human biology is amazingly complex, which can be mind-boggling when you consider how many complicated processes are carried out by our bodies every second. The human body contains 12 different systems that all work seamlessly together. Moreover, the human body is perfectly designed to be either male or female. XX = Female, XY= Male. Anything outside of this is an anomaly or syndrome, and is very rare.

Believe it or not, a veteran biology professor in Texas who has been teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology for over 20 years was recently fired after four students reportedly stormed out of the classroom. They claimed that Dr. Johnson Varkey’s science-based lesson explaining that sex is determined by X and Y chromosomes was offensive to homosexuals and transgender individuals. Do these students not understand, if it wasn’t for a male and female they wouldn’t be here?

Let’s follow the science…

Human Biology Basics

Chromosomes are thread-like structures located inside the nucleus of animal and plant cells. Each chromosome is made of protein and a single molecule of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). Passed from parents to offspring, DNA contains the specific instructions that make each type of living creature unique. Every human cell contains 23 pairs of chromosomes that carry DNA within their nucleus.

The X and Y chromosomes, commonly referred to as the sex chromosomes, are one such pair. They determine the biological sex, reproductive organs, and related characteristics that develop in a person. Female (XX) mammals inherit one X chromosome from each parent, but males (XY) receive an X from their mother and a Y sex chromosome from their father. X and Y chromosomes determine not only the sex of an individual, but many other characteristics as well, from grip strength to aggression.

There is a difference between male and female, and it’s embedded in your DNA. You can change your superficial appearance but you can’t change your cells. Far too many people in the fields of medicine and psychology have been catering to falsehoods to appease misinformed or delusional individuals. Dr. Jay Richards said while testifying in support of the Montana SB 99 “Youth Health Protection Act” that “Gender affirming is in fact sex denying for minors. It involves refashioning the body to fit a distorted idea in the mind.”

Tomboys are Real Girls

My sister was a major tomboy until the age of 16. She hated dolls or any girly things. Doll houses, ponies and princess dresses were not her thing. She would hang out with me, her brother, and my friends and do all the things we did. Mud, cars, tools, building stuff, pranking, the works. Then all of a sudden things took a drastic turn. She became interested in her looks, clothes, started hanging out with girls, etc. Fast forward to today, she is a happily married mom of three boys. Having been a tomboy in her early years probably helps her get along with her own boys now. But by today’s insanity she would have been labeled as gender “dysphoric,” put on meds, and her body mutilated before she had a chance to grow into what God intended her to be.

Yes, you can be a tomboy without altering your body. Its absolutely unforgivable to prescribe children something permanent like hormonal treatments or surgery, when their minds are not even close to mature to provide educated consent. In adolescence we change our mind a thousand times about a thousand things. Following an irreversible path based on what you think at that age is abominable and should be outlawed before the age of 21. It’s like holding a kid to what they want to do for a living at age 14 for the rest of their lives just because they show a certain inclination for it at a young age.

There’s a YouTube channel called Freely Ashley that made a statement along these lines. “For anyone who supports kids transitioning, stop for a minute, think about when you were 13 (or possibly younger in some cases). What did you want to do as a career? Did you actually become that? Did you think about having kids? Did you know who you were without a doubt? Because when I was growing up, I was going through some tough times and if someone had placed a proposed solution in front of me and said ‘this will solve your problems,’ I would’ve taken it without thinking twice. All these people who think it’s a good idea for children to transition need to stop and think if they were capable of planning the rest of their lives at the age of 13 because that is what they are asking these kids to do. These kids need help, not hormones. Therapy, not surgery.”

The Transgender Movement Preys on Adolescent Confusion

In these postmodern times, the adolescent years are filled with conflict and confusion. While the coming of adulthood is exciting in many respects, it can also be terrifying. Young people are taught they can be anything, yet rarely have solid ideas of the people they want to be. Add in the influence of an “understanding” counselor with an agenda, they may be steered in a certain way. That’s why gender ideology is so dangerous.

Presumably, the transgender movement is built upon the idea that some boys are “trapped” in girls’ bodies and vice versa. However, modern teens are more often affected by current trends, fads and celebrities. Given the increasing “trendiness” of transgenderism, it can easily cause young people to wonder if they are “transsexual” themselves. The radical act of being “transgender” has actually become fashionable. Whatever you do, please don’t permanently disfigure yourself for a fad!

A Permanent Solution to a Temporary Problem

Most impartial and well-grounded adults know that adolescent identity crises will dissipate with time and maturity. That is part of the reason why activists are so eager to work with children and teens in hopes of inflating the number of those identifying as transsexuals — and, hence, the public acceptance of transsexuality. They played this game to great success in the related field of homosexuality. These veterans of the sexual revolution are eager to repeat that success on an even more fundamental and destructive level. They really mean it when they chant “we’re coming for your children.”

Most “treatments” for gender dysphoria are irreversible. Once puberty is delayed and surgeries have taken place, the chances for a normal life as a member of one’s natural sex are essentially over. The recent cases of Scott Newgent, Chloe Cole, Keira Bell and Chris Beck all point to the massive challenges that those who realize they have made a terrible mistake face. Unfortunately, it doesn’t turn out well when you mess with God’s perfect design.

America’s children must be protected from such a fate. Doctors, psychologists, and psychiatrists should be at the forefront of those preventing this abuse rather than the primary promoters of these barbaric practices. If we can’t depend on the “experts,” we have to do it ourselves. It’s time to teach teens some real science, like biology!
