SCOTUS Hears Challenge to Roe v. Wade

On December 1, 2021, oral arguments began in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, as the U.S. Supreme Court considers the fate of abortion-on-demand in America. Dobbs v. Jackson is widely seen as an opportunity to overturn Roe v. Wade, the case used to legalize abortion nationwide almost 49 years ago.

Dobbs v. Jackson concerns the constitutionality of Mississippi’s HB 1510 law banning abortions from being committed past 15 weeks for any reason other than physical medical emergencies or severe fetal abnormalities. After HB 1510 was enacted in 2019, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals deemed it unconstitutional because of an “unbroken line dating to Roe v. Wade, the 1973 ruling which imposed on all fifty states a “right” to pre-viability abortion on demand.

However, Roe’s “viability” precedent is arbitrary and inaccurate. Medical science has come a long way since 1973. Even pro-Roe former Justice Sandra Day O’Connor acknowledged that “viability” is a wavering, contingent line: “As medical science becomes better able to provide for the separate existence of the fetus, the point of viability is moved further back toward conception.”

Roe v. Wade and Racist Eugenics

Leftists are fiercely anti-racist. They are intent on removing all racist symbolism, forcing name changes, and tearing down Confederate statues to remove any reference to racism from the past. They’re all about Black Lives Matter. So then why are they pro-abortion? They should be first in line demanding that Roe v. Wade be overturned!

Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of a diverse group of organizations, churches, religious leaders, and individuals including the Frederick Douglass Foundation; Rev. Alveda King, the niece of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; 70,000 African American and Hispanic churches; and millions of African Americans and Hispanic Americans across the United States. They are asking the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade because legalized abortion is unconstitutional, violates the right to life, and supports a racist eugenic ideology.

That’s right, Liberty Counsel’s powerful brief reveals the truth about the abortion movement and its deeply racist founders and adherents—in their own words.

Starting with Charles Darwin, sterilization, contraception and abortion were used to accomplish his racist and white supremacist ideology and eugenic vision. In The Origin of Species by means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life (emphasis added), the full title of his landmark book clearly sets forth Darwin’s goal to eliminate certain races and populations.

In his second book, The Descent of Man, Darwin wrote that as white Europeans “exterminate and replace” the world’s “savage races,” and as great apes go extinct, the gap between civilized man and his closest evolutionary ancestor will widen. Darwin believed the gap will eventually be between civilized man “and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as at present between the negro or Australian and the gorilla.”

Margaret Sanger, KKK speaker and Nazi Party of Germany advisor, wrote prolifically about her eugenics solutions, calling for “the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks—those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.” However, in a 1939 letter she admitted, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.” BLM supporters should be furious!

Sanger went on to found Planned Parenthood, which specializes in killing babies. To this day, over 86% of all Planned Parenthood centers are in black and Hispanic neighborhoods. The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute shows that Sanger’s twisted plan is working, as 53% of all abortions in the U.S. are performed on black and Hispanic women.

Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “the U.S. Supreme Court has the opportunity to finally overturn its tragic racist eugenic abortion decision of Roe v. Wade. Planned Parenthood continues Margaret Sanger’s legacy of eliminating unborn children based on their race, and this must end. The Supreme Court should overturn Roe v. Wade and stop this genocide.”

Now What?

Several commentators, both pro-life and pro-abortion, have observed that the Supreme Court proceedings indicate Roe v. Wade could be overturned.

However, can we trust Chief Justice Roberts to do the right thing?
Can we trust ANY of the newest so-called “conservative” justices?

Given their recent track record, we can’t count on any of them to do what’s right except for Clarence Thomas.

Fox analysts said that both Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett were aggressive in challenging the pro-abortion attorneys. But I’ve been deeply disappointed in Kavanaugh and ACB so far and I have no faith in them now.

The Supreme Court decision may come as late as the end of June 2022. Before then, many friend-of-the-court briefs will be filed. Countless commentators will publish op-eds predicting doomsday scenarios for women’s access to abortion.

Dobbs is going to be the most anticipated Supreme Court abortion decision since 1992, when Planned Parenthood v. Casey reaffirmed Roe v. Wade.

But will the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade? I won’t hold my breath.

And if Roe v. Wade is ever overturned, then what?

Without a change in people’s hearts and minds, mothers will still want to kill their unborn babies, fathers still won’t take any responsibility, and unethical doctors will still want to aid and abet them.
