Schooling Around the World

There are about 2.2 million home-educated students in grades K to 12 in the United States. Home-based education is also growing around the world in many other nations such as Australia, Canada, France, Hungary, Japan, Kenya, Russia, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, and the United Kingdom (NHERI.org). But did you know that as many as 1 in 5 adults in the developing world are illiterate? Or that at age 16, students in Germany have the option of becoming an apprentice in a career they would like to pursue? Here is an interesting infographic that takes a look at schooling around the world and the differences that can be seen country to country.
