Manny Mechanix: Newton’s First Law & How Your Lungs Work

Here are two of the latest videos from Manny Mechanix. In the first one, he uses two eggs to demonstrate Newton’s First Law. That is, an object in motion or at rest will remain in motion or at rest until it is acted upon by an outside force.

Maker Lab by Smithsonian contains a bunch of great projects, as shown in the second video. Manny demonstrates his favorite project, human lung, and shows how he had to tweak the supplies to make it function properly.

Also, we are happy to announce that Manny won a public, local essay contest for submitting an essay on the topic, “What Memorial Day Means to Me.” He will be presenting it in mid-March to the local branch of the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA). You can read about the contest here. Congratulations, Manny!
