Mafia 3

Mafia 3This is my review for Mafia 3, RATED M FOR MATURE.

Plot: In 1968 you play as Lincoln Clay, an African American Vietnam soldier returning from the war to the African American mafia he was once a part of. After a bank heist, the Italian mafia betrays and kills all of your mob, except for Lincoln; you have to take your revenge against the Italian mob with your partners in crime Vito, Burke, and Cassandra, and hunt down the leader, Sal Marcano. But first you have to hunt down all of his associates…

This game does not shy away from racism, unfortunately; it is trying to be accurate to the time it takes place in. Police will be slow coming to African American neighborhoods if a crime is done, but in rich white neighborhoods they will be there quickly.

Mafia 3 has some of the best characters I’ve ever seen in a video game. Donovan was my favorite character in the game. I thought the music was great!!! With great songs like “Paint It Black” by the Rolling Stones. The gunplay is familiar, but fun! I thought the driving was ok. I love how the game has three endings! And I think it is awesome the way you get to betray your associates, if you chose to do so, it will impact the story a little bit. I betrayed Cassandra because I thought she was extremely annoying…

Now this game has quite a few issues, the gameplay gets somewhat repetitive after a while, there are a LOT of glitches. The graphics aren’t the best. And it does have some annoying characters…

I would give this game a 7.8/10. Look forward to my next review!
