Letter from the Editor: May 2022

Dear Readers,

Happy May 2022!

Today I had the pleasure of posting the official 100th issue of Homeschooling Teen magazine! The very first one to be published in this current format went live in January 2014, although we originally started way back in October/November 2008. Click on the archived links here to view old issues of Homeschooling Teen magazine!

Home education has come a long way since we got started, and it’s become even more popular than it was before! Incidentally, May is Homeschool Awareness Month! Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated in the first full week of May – from May 1 through May 7, 2022 – followed by Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8. So be sure to do something nice for your mom who teaches you so much!

Happy Homeschooling!

P.S. In case you’re wondering, Sean Johnson’s mother- and father-in-law survived the Mariupol bombings after hiding out for 30 days in their cellar. Somehow they were able to escape and made it to his house in Vinnitsa safe and sound. Scott opened up his home to them and other refugees who had to flee from cities like Kyiv and Mariupol. But the bombings have made their way to the city of Kazatin where House of James 3 is located. Please pray for their protection, and for resources so they can continue to meet the needs of the children and others in desperate circumstances. He’s been distributing food and hygiene supplies to people in the different towns and villages outside of Kyiv, which were occupied and destroyed by the Russians.
