Let’s Make July American Pride Month

In response to the Biden White House and the media celebrating “PRIDE” for an entire month, Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-Texas, is introducing a House Resolution designating July as “American Pride Month.”

“I am proud to announce my Resolution declaring July, American Pride Month,” tweeted the first-term Congressman. “I urge ALL my colleagues to join in this effort to celebrate and memorialize our history.”

This Resolution provides all Americans with an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the great history and great progress of the United States of America.

In Ronald Reagan’s final address to the nation as President, he warned us of what would happen if we ceased teaching future generations about our history and most importantly, about what it means to be an American.

In the immortal words of President Reagan from his 1989 Farewell Address, “If we forget what we did, we won’t know who we are.”

“In recent years, we have witnessed Reagan’s warning become a premonition,” Mr. Hunt said. “Our country is terribly divided, and woke ideology has replaced American pride with cultural tribalism.”

“If the Biden White House, woke corporations, and the media can spend an entire month celebrating “PRIDE,” then we can dedicate the entire month of our nation’s birth to celebrate AMERICAN PRIDE.”

“My family and I served this nation in combat. American exceptionalism means something to me, and I want it to mean something again to future generations of Americans.  American history is worth teaching, it’s worth celebrating, and it’s worth remembering. I’m urging my colleagues on both sides to enthusiastically support this Resolution,” said Rep. Hunt.

I know, we should be proud to be Americans 24/7/365. But the country needs this message right now. It is high past time we officially declare our pride in America.

For too long, patriotism as a virtue has been under assault by academia, the media, and others who seem to be on a mission to destroy American citizens’ sense of national identity and pride in their nation.

We have Black History Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month, Asian Pacific Heritage Month, and many more – but why not celebrate the one thing we all have in common?

We all live in America!

How does that Lee Greenwood song go?

I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land! God bless the U.S.A.

Americans already celebrate our nation’s birth and independence on the 4th of July – so let’s continue to celebrate and honor the true values and principles that America was founded on throughout the entire month of July!

Will all the woke corporations feature, celebrate, and incorporate the American flag into their July marketing? Will people fly old glory just as proudly and just as high as they wave the rainbow flag? Will you?

Let’s unite in a joint effort to bring back true American patriotism to our culture – American Pride Month. Please engage and get involved by signing the petition at https://AmericanPrideMonth.org

P.S. I can’t think of any other country where you have to feel awkward about flying your own nation’s flag. And for those who hate America so badly, why are you still here??? It’s a big world… just move someplace else!
