Found: God’s Will, by John MacArthur Jr.

A Book Review by Naomi Downing

Back cover: You may want to jump and shout when you read the sixth principle for knowing when you have found God’s will.

The sixth principle is “Do whatever you want” as long as the first five principles are operating in your life.

Read about all six principles to better understand when the psalmist means when he urges, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart” (Psalm 37:4).

Found: God’s Will wasn’t exactly what I expected when I started reading. I expected something that would help me figure out how to figure out what God’s will for my life was… and I guess in a way it did.

In a way that’s easy to understand John MacArthur talks about six steps—which may sound simple but are actually weighty—to finding what God’s will is. It doesn’t just lead you to your conclusion but points to the Bible with the promise that it contains the ‘secret’ to what you are supposed to do.

I recommend it, like I said, it wasn’t what I was expecting but it was good and a very quick read. (I read it in part of an afternoon, so even if you’re ‘too busy’ to read, you should have the time to read this. 😉 )
