Bleeding Words

A Poem by Hannah Barber.

When I am sad or upset writing allows me to release all of the negative feelings inside me and I end up feeling better. Some people release their sadness by drawing, or making art, or running, or playing music. Everyone should find a positive outlet for their sorrows and frustrations. That is why I wrote this poem, it really explains why I write poetry.

Bleeding Words,
Letter by Letter,
I write out my heart.

My soul is filled,
With my unruly scrawl.
My Heart is covered,
In Cursive scars.

Tears reflect,
Verses unwritten,
Eyes show,
Words left unspoken.

Page after Page,
I write out my soul.
Bleeding Words,
Until Nothing is Left.
