Every February, Black History Month in the U.S. celebrates the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape our nation’s history and society—from civil rights pioneers to leaders in industry, politics, science, culture and more.
Famous black homeschoolers include Phillis Wheatley (poet), Benjamin Banneker (first African-American scientist), George Washington Carver (agricultural researcher), Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee Institute founder), Frederick Douglass (abolitionist), Harriet Tubman (Underground Railroad heroine), and Lewis Latimer (inventor).
On February 1, 2023, in recognition of Black History Month, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries issued the following statement:
Black history is American history. This month is a time to reflect on the countless achievements and contributions of Black Americans and acknowledge the work that is still left to be done. We stand on their shoulders and continue to be inspired by trailblazers like Harriet Tubman, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Shirley Chisholm, John Lewis and Barack Obama, and we remain committed to building upon their legacy.
The problem with his statement is, Obama sowed so much division in our country that he single-handedly made race relations worse than they’d been in decades. The late John Lewis was all talk and no action when it came to fixing the problems of black poverty and crime in his own district, where he served for over 30 years.
Moreover, when celebrating the contributions of Black Americans during Black History Month, you can’t ignore conservative black role models: Justice Clarence Thomas and GOP presidential candidates Dr. Ben Carson and Herman Cain, to name a few. These men were raised to have a good character and work ethic that transcended race and ethnicity, and yet they’re not respected by Democrats despite their accomplishments.
If Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglas were alive today, they would be shocked to see what has happened to the black community. Blacks are even being taken advantage of by other blacks. Democrats like Al Sharpton and BLM use race-baiting as a money-making scheme to line their own pockets.
America is Not Built on Racism
America’s Founders understood slavery was a violation of divine and natural law that needed to be placed on the road to extinction. It was the 1776 Declaration of Independence – NOT the 1619 Project – that marked America’s true political, moral and philosophical founding.
The Declaration’s drafters and signers knew that they had created a new nation with a foundation based on anti-slavery principles. The compromises that were made in the U.S. Constitution about slavery were put there to ensure the creation of a new system of government powerful enough to eradicate slavery once circumstances permitted.
The Democrat lie about America being a nation of systemic racism is extremely evil and destructive, only serving to stoke racial hate and violence. In reality, America is the greatest land of opportunity on the planet for all who choose to pursue their dreams!
Black political science professor Carol Swain started out life with every possible disadvantage. She ended up teaching at one of the most prestigious universities in the country. How did she do it? She shares her story and her wisdom in this inspiring video.
Democrat Party of Slavery
Despite their talking points, the Democrats have shown over and over again by their actions that black empowerment and liberation is not really their goal. In reality, they want to keep blacks totally dependent and thus enslaved to government, so nothing has changed. Did you know that the Democratic Party defended slavery, started the Civil War, founded the KKK, and fought against every major civil rights act in U.S. history?
The Democrat Party was founded by Andrew Jackson, as a pro-slave and anti-Indian Party. Jackson was behind the Trail of Tears and congressional Democrats passed the Indian Removal Act. Prior to the Civil War, Democrats sought to strengthen and expand slavery. Here are just a few of the efforts the Democrat party took to thwart endowing freed slaves with full citizenship, equality, and rights after the Civil War concluded:
When slavery was finally abolished, only 4 Democrats in congress voted to pass the 13th Amendment. The 14th Amendment, giving full citizenship to freed slaves, passed with 94% Republican support and 0% Democrat support in congress. The 15th Amendment, giving freed slaves the right to vote, passed with 100% Republican support and 0% Democrat support in congress. John Wilkes Boothe, the man who assassinated the Republican president Abraham Lincoln, was a Democrat who hated Lincoln for his role in freeing the slaves.
Following the Civil War, former slaves were targeted by Democrats in order to prevent them from becoming a threat politically. They were denied the ability to arm themselves and were under threat of the newly formed KKK, which Democrats had formed and funded to keep black people under the control of the Democrat party.
Segregation was implemented and imposed by a Democrat administration as well. When Woodrow Wilson assumed office in 1913, he mandated that the federal workforce be segregated by race leading to the reduction of black civil service workers’ income, increasing the significant income gap between black and white workers, and eroding some of the gains blacks made following Reconstruction. Wilson, a Democrat president, even showed KKK films in the White House.
The Democrat Party was responsible for passing Jim Crow laws in addition to Black Civil Codes that forced Americans to utilize separate drinking fountains, swimming pools, and other facilities in the 20th century. Democrats even filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964. On June 10th, 1964, for the first time in its history, cloture was invoked on a civil rights bill by Republicans, ending a record-breaking filibuster by Democrats that had consumed 57 working days.
Lyndon Baines Johnson, a Democrat president, targeted the black community further in his Great Society, which was designed to get blacks dependent on the government by removing the father from the home, consolidate much of the black community into inner city housing which was controlled by the government (this is where the “projects” came from), building the welfare state, etc. LBJ infamously said, “We’ll have those n***ers voting Democrat for 200 years.”
This is just some of the history of their party – all while claiming Republicans are racist. So which is the real racist party?
Biden’s Racist Past
80-year-old Joe Biden, who served as a U.S. Senator from January 3, 1973 – January 15, 2009, supported staunchly segregationist senators over the course of his entire senatorial career. In 2010, he warmly eulogized Sen. Robert Byrd, a former Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan, saying he was “one of my mentors.”
In 1977, he said that forced busing to desegregate schools would cause his children to “grow up in a racial jungle.” In 2007, he referred to Barack Obama as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean.” What did he even mean by that, were all the others dirty???
On Charlamagne Tha God’s popular morning radio show in May 2020, Biden infamously told the largely black audience that if they don’t vote for him, then “you ain’t black!” (Hearkening back to LBJ there, I think.)
In August 2020, Biden told a gathering of black and Hispanic journalists that “unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.”
Taken together, these statements clearly suggest that Biden believes all black people are dirty, dumb, and think alike. What an insult!
Inconvenient History of the Democratic Party
We all know how much Democrats love their abortions. But did you know that most abortion clinics were built near the inner cities and other black dominant areas? Even to this day, there are more black babies aborted than any other.
Margaret Sanger, the woman behind Planned Parenthood, was a Democrat and a eugenicist who called blacks “weeds.” Sadly, blacks are terminating themselves by insanely supporting Democrats’ support of Planned Parenthood.
Cities controlled by Democrats for the past 40 years are a mess; record-breaking black on black homicides, failing schools, high black incarceration, and high fatherless black households. And yet, anyone black or white who suggests solutions to empower blacks to actually fix their problems is immediately attacked by the Democrats. These compassionate Americans are branded either racists or Uncle Toms (if they’re black).
Watch as Dr. Carol Swain, professor of political science at Vanderbilt University, shares the inconvenient history of the Democratic Party.
If we’re going to dedicate a month to celebrating Black History, let’s get the facts right!
