This educational docuseries is perfect for homeschool history class! The total run time is 13 hours, in 26 half-hour episodes. It’s suitable for ages seven and up, but we’d recommend it for middle school and up, as it won’t really hold younger kids’ attention. (For that, you need Liberty’s Kids.) David Barton isn’t as charismatic as Dave Stotts of Drive Thru History, but he brings a fresh and accurate perspective to American history.

  1. would this series be a semester long class for HS students in homeschool. Also, trying to see what credit to give and what history it would replace from American history.

    1. The average length of a semester course is 15 weeks, with one hour of classroom learning and two hours of related reading/research/homework each week. So, you could use this for an American History class or high school elective if you combine it with supplemental materials and writing assignments.
