MedicalAssistants.School is web-based service that helps students in their college decision-making process by providing useful tools and resources for students interested in becoming a medical assistant.
Medical assistant duties cover various aspects of patient care such as recording vital signs, prepping treatment rooms, asking patients questions, and giving medication as directed by a physician.
Programs for medical assistants are usually available at vocational schools, community colleges, and even online. They may take about one or two years to complete. The typical course of study covers medical terminology, human anatomy, and other essential knowledge areas for a medical assisting career.
In an effort to help offset the costs associated with pursuing this course of study, MedicalAssistants.School is offering a scholarship worth $500 to eligible students seeking the completion of a medical assisting program.
This contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are 18 years of age or older at the time of application. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled, or planning to enroll no later than the fall of 2023, in an accredited medical assistant program at a college, university, or trade school.
In order to apply for the Medical Assistant Scholarship, you must submit a 250 word essay. For the essay, all you have to do is simply answer the following question:
Inspiration can come from anywhere – a teacher, a friend, a positive or negative experience. What inspired your choice to become a medical assistant?
One lucky winner will be awarded $500. The recipient can use the $500 tuition voucher for any cost associated with his or her school bursar’s office (some restrictions may apply based on the school).
The deadline to submit your application is February 28, 2022. The winner of the $500 MedicalAssistants.School scholarship will be notified on or around April 30, 2022.
