DOG Central’s annual Dog Lover Scholarship is a $500 scholarship that’s open to high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students. The deadline to apply is July 20, 2022.

Dogs play an important role in our lives—they are loyal companions that know when we need a little extra love and they support us through life’s ups and downs.
To show our appreciation for these beloved pets and their fans, Dog Central is awarding one dog-loving student $500 to put towards their education.
Any high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who’s a US citizen or permanent legal resident and a dog lover may apply for this scholarship.
To apply for the Dog Lover Scholarship, write an essay on why you love dogs and how a dog has benefited your life.

- Winners will be announced on August 20, 2022
- Award check will be sent to the recipient in their name.

How to Apply
Dog Central manages the Dog Lover Scholarship with the support of Bold.org. You can apply for this scholarship on the Bold.org scholarship platform. Set up a free account and submit your application, along with a short essay (400-600 words) answering the following prompts:
- Why do you love dogs?
- How has a dog impacted your life in a positive way?
The application will be open through July 20, 2022. Prior to the announcement date, Dog Central may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. Recipients will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
