10 Career Fields More Conservatives Must Enter

careers for conservativesAre you tired of hearing people complain about their liberal professors, the liberal media, liberal actors, etc., but then do nothing about it? If we want to make a difference, if we want this country to prioritize American traditions and limit the power of federal government, then conservatives need to enter the fields dominated by liberals and take them over just like the liberals did. It may be hard to break into these fields at first when we’re so outnumbered, but all it takes is a few brave souls to lead the way and soon enough we will tip the scales. Here are ten career fields that more conservatives need to enter…

1. Education

We’ve all had a liberal teacher or two, and those of us in college probably have mostly liberal professors. For years we’ve complained about liberal bias and communist ideology in the classroom, but what have we done about it? Now the crazy libs are feeling so empowered that they don’t even hide it! If we don’t want left-wing nuts indoctrinating our children, then we need to be the ones to educate them. A career in education may not seem as fruitful as a career in finance, but the impact on the next generation is astounding. Think about what our world might be like today if the previous generation of teachers had only leaned more toward the right. Would we still have the censorship and safe spaces that we see on college campuses today? The non-union education organization, Conservative Teachers of America, seeks to counter liberal teachers unions’ politics. We also need conservative parents to take over school boards to stop the COVID-19 mandates, LGBTQ activism, and critical race theory being promoted in schools.

2. Journalism

While the conservative movement is blessed to have such prominent publications as the National Review, American Thinker, The Epoch Times and others, we are lagging behind when it comes to those read by the masses on a daily basis. There is no reason that liberal-leaning newspapers like the New York Times should have a monopoly, and there is certainly no good reason to complain about it if you aren’t actively working to change it. If liberal Jeff Bezos can buy The Washington Post, can’t a conservative billionaire buy a competing newspaper? Even if print newspapers may be going the way of the dinosaurs in many towns, journalism is far from dead. Conservatives need to start considering it as a career field and stop letting liberals run the show. At a time when there are so many lazy reporters getting their stories off Twitter and Facebook, we also need more good old-fashioned investigative reporting like Project Veritas is doing. By exposing corruption and malpractice, investigative journalism keeps individuals, officials, criminals, companies, and states accountable for their activities.

3. Film

The monopoly of liberal celebrities on television and in movies is no secret, and they always rear their ugly heads around election years and major award ceremonies. Conservatives have every reason to complain about this, but what are they doing about it? We cannot let the left-leaning majority keep us from fighting as the minority. If we let the left scare us away from making movies, they’ll continue to control the industry. Anyone can start their own film festival and program it however they wish, so why not have a conservative film festival? Or how about starting a new film industry with conservatives acting, directing, and producing? There may be more conservative actors than you think, since they prefer to stay anonymous. Many actors and celebrities shy away from expressing their political beliefs, because as you know the outspoken conservative ones are usually quickly shot down by the establishment whenever they express their views. Still, conservative filmmakers are starting to fight back, and now there is a great alternative to the wokeism of Disney+ and Netflix. Pure Flix has the largest variety of high-quality, positive, encouraging, wholesome faith- and family-friendly movies, TV series, and kids’ shows that you can confidently stream in your home without having to worry about foul language or immoral content.

4. Healthcare

Healthcare should be a field where there are no politics, but that isn’t true any more. The age-old mandate of “first do no harm” has become irrelevant for many healthcare practitioners today. These doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals exploit their profession to exert influence over certain situations just to make money and further political gains. We need more conservatives in the field to warn people about the dangers of Covid vaccines and the irreversible consequences of mutilating children in the name of “gender-affirming care,” as well as to raise awareness about fetal pain and the true effects of abortion on women. The Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), founded by a group of leading critical care specialists, is dedicated to helping save lives and improve health by advancing COVID treatment protocols based on the latest science, data, and clinical observations – and not on the prevailing bias. Likewise, America’s Frontline Doctors help to amplify the voices of concerned physicians and patients nationwide to combat those who push political and economic agendas at the expense of science and quality healthcare solutions.

5. Broadcast Media

Traditional broadcast media refers to television and radio shows that are broadcast over the airwaves. Conservatives are blessed with great conservative news hosts like Tucker Carlson, Dennis Prager, and the folks at Right Side Broadcasting Network, but it isn’t enough. We need more young people interested in broadcast media so that the future is full of talented, hard-hitting broadcast journalists that keep the younger generations watching the news and listening to informative radio programming. With the help of digital media, broadcast media these days is even more far-reaching to a greater audience. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and many other social media platforms display live content – if you can get around the censorship. The growth of conservative alternate media is a good start and looks promising.

6. Government & Politics

With all the RINOs in power, true conservatives do not get much in return for their votes. This dynamic needs to change. That’s why more conservative young people need to get involved with politics. You can start by volunteering for campaigns, attending political events, and general political organizing. Groups like the National Young Republican Federation promote conservative values across the country by encouraging young conservatives to run for local office, to work on campaigns, and to vote. We need to learn a lesson from the Democrats and train high-potential, young conservatives as political activists and community organizers. A huge opportunity exists for conservatives to take over government on the local, state, and national level. Are you interested in politics, but not interested in running for office? There are many different jobs in politics including communications coordinators, public relations and media relations, political strategists and policy analysts, campaign managers and consultants, pollsters and political consultants, administrators, precinct committeemen, and more. We need to give conservative candidates all the support that we can!

7. Science & Medicine

Conservatives have lost faith in scientists and medical professionals due to the politicization of science and medicine as an argument-from-authority for more government overreach. That’s why conservatives need to take back these fields. This will not be easy since liberal hacks run the professional peer-reviewed journals. It used to be that scientific evidence was open to interpretation, and a given hypothesis might attract dissenting views. Now dissenting views are not even allowed! Not to worry, the Discovery Institute is a growing global network of free-thinking politically conservative scholars, scientists, and policy experts. They sponsor research, publish books, organize conferences, host seminars, offer educational programs, and produce a wide array of multimedia content for both young people and adults. Also, the Institute for Creation Research is unique among scientific organizations in that their research is conducted within a biblical worldview.

8. Fashion

Modest fashion has been around for centuries as part of various conservative cultures. Nowadays, it’s a style followed by millions of women regardless of their religion and beliefs. Thanks to the increasing demand for comfortable, modest clothing, more brands have started innovating and creating beautiful styles for conservative women. “There’s a not insubstantial minority of women who voted for Donald Trump, and they read fashion magazines too,” said Inez Stepman, senior contributor at the Federalist, on a past episode of Federalist Radio Hour titled Why Should Conservatives Care About Fashion? “There should still be a way that [a conservative woman] opens a magazine and sees something that’s relevant to her life.”

9. Military

Conservatives want to preserve the traditions that have proven to keep America strong. For us that is love of country, love of the constitution, an understanding of our history (both good and bad), belief in smaller government, support of republicanism, support of the rule of law, and support of our Armed Forces. The military has long been the most conservative branch of the government, pledging “to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” The military is filled with tradition, which is why a lot of things in the military have been around since its inception. However, the current administration is trying to change all that by purging conservatives and pushing liberal ideologies through the ranks. Trump supporters in the military are labeled right-wing extremists, and wokeism among military leadership has become rampant. This liberal takeover of the military stems from the top down; therefore we need more conservatives in Congress and the Department of Defense, or the military will lose its way and will no longer be capable of protecting the American way of life.

10. Ministry

The majority of pastors today have been taught at liberal seminaries – and believe it or not, this has been going on for more than a century. That’s how Darwin and his theory of evolution were able to gain such a foothold – and why Bibles were removed from the schools. Some of the most popular pastors today are more like motivational speakers, avoiding controversial topics and ignoring what the Bible really says about sin and hell. We need strong conservative leaders in ministry who show by both their sermons and their actions that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God.

We always encourage everyone to pursue the career paths they are most interested in, but if you are a conservative who wants to make a difference, these are the fields that we need to infiltrate and dominate like the left has for so many years.

Happy career planning!
