Yes, you read right. If you have accepted Christ into you heart, you have been adopted by the King of Heaven. As God’s sons and daughters you now posses the keys to an entire kingdom. Just consider the fact that anything you want you can have, states John 15:7: “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” John 14:13: “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.” Consider the fact that not only do you have your blood brothers and sisters you also have everyone that is in the body of Christ. They are ALL your family in fact they are your TRUE family. Mark 3:31-35: “Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them. There was a crowd sitting around Jesus, and someone said, “Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you.” Jesus replied, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Then he looked at those around him and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother and all because you are a part of the family of Christ.”
Unlike man adoption the God’s adoption process was completed immediately after accepting God’s son, our brethren, and Savior into our hearts. Also consider the fact that our own Father gave His own son to die on the cross for our sins. True love demonstrated by the Father to the children HE adopted. 1 John 3:1: “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God.” So don’t ever again think of yourself as just an average boy or girl, man or woman. Your father is a King and not only a King a High King, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. And by his good grace we were adopted by Him, and you are one of his own children who will also share in His inheritance if you continue to fight the good fight, finish the race, and remain faithful. 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” Remember that you belong to a royal family. God is our Father and we are His children. 2 Corinthians 6:18: “And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” So act like the princess and prince you have now become and forever GLORIFY the ONE who welcomed you with open arms into His Kingdom. And don’t worry about any jealous siblings for in the family of Christ there is none!
