Modern medicine is saving premature babies who are smaller and younger than ever before. Last month in Tokyo, a 24-week-old premature infant who weighed less than 10 ounces at birth came home from the hospital and is doing well.

And yet, Democrats have become increasingly explicit in their support for killing unborn children at any stage of pregnancy including up to 40 weeks and in the middle of birth – and even of denying medical care to newborns.

Euphemisms are always used in an attempt to hide the reality of what is actually a modern-day holocaust. But what is the so-called “right to choose” other than the sacrifice of children to the gods of greed and selfishness? What was the baby’s crime deserving the death penalty? Simply being inconvenient, untimely, or imperfect.

Abortion isn’t a women’s rights issue – it’s a human rights issue. The biblical standard of the intrinsic value, dignity, and sanctity of human life has been a longstanding American value. Abortion is a violation of the basic human rights of both male and female victims who are unable to speak for themselves.

America’s founders wrote the Declaration of Independence based on the specific truths that all people are created equal, “that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are LIFE, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
