Letter from the Editor – July 2023

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the July 2023 issue of Homeschooling Teen! I hope you had a fun-filled 4th of July! I can’t believe the summer is already half way over!

If you live in any of the New England states, I pray you’re doing okay with all the rain and flooding. It’s exactly the opposite where I am – hot and dry. The Old Farmer’s Almanac states that July 2023 temperatures, on average, will be near to above normal through most of North America but expect cooler temperatures out West across the Rockies and Great Basin and along the central and southern California coast.

July is the month of several awareness events including Disability Pride Month, National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, French-American Heritage Month, and National Bison Month. July is also National Ice Cream Month!

PureFlix is celebrating Christmas in July with lots of cool movies that will make you want to sit and chill with the air conditioning on full blast while eating a big bowl of ice cream. Sounds like a good idea to me on a 117-degree day!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation before classes start again! Drop a comment and let us know what you’ve been up to this summer.

Happy Homeschooling!

P.S. We are always on the lookout for homeschoolers who have something to share. If you would like to be a one-time or monthly contributor, please let us know. It’s not a paid position, but you can include links back to your website or social media accounts and add it to your volunteer experience. We are interested in all kinds of content – articles, reviews, essays, stories, poems, videos, artwork, travelogues, commentaries, etc – so feel free to be creative!
