Canva is a completely free online platform that makes graphic design pretty simple for anyone to do. The program combines a drag-and-drop tool with a library of more than 1 million stock photographs, graphic elements, and fonts. Create designs for Web or print: blog graphics, presentations, Facebook covers, flyers, posters, invitations, and so much more.
“Visual communication is as important as literacy in today’s workplace,” said Canva CEO Melanie Perkins. “For teachers inspiring a classroom, students trying to get their first job, and brands communicating through social media, visuals are the currency of today. They help you stand out, look professional and communicate.”
But what if you don’t have any design experience? Not to worry…
Canva provides free tutorials and teaching materials to achieve its aim of making graphic design accessible to all. Canva also offers a free “Introduction to Graphic Design” course on OpenLearning.com.
