Scholarship Details
The American Hat Makers company is determined to help bright and dedicated students who are keen on pursuing higher studies in fashion design but could benefit from financial assistance. They have instituted a scholarship to appreciate and acknowledge deserving students by offering award money.
Participants must be currently studying fashion design or pursuing education related to the clothing/garment industry in the USA, Canada, UK, or any location worldwide.
To apply for the scholarship, students must submit a hat design using any medium: sketch, digital graphics, or a combination of both.
Add a brief description (max 100 words) explaining the inspiration behind your design and any unique features.
Submit your entry via email to designcontest@americanhatmakers.com with the subject line “Hat Design Contest – [Your Name].”
Include your full name, contact information, educational institution, and program of study in the email.

Contest Criteria
Creativity: How unique and original is your design? Does it stand out from the crowd?
Aesthetic Appeal: Is your design visually pleasing? Does it demonstrate an understanding of fashion and style?
Craftsmanship: How well-executed is your design? Are the details and proportions well-defined?
Relevance: Does your design align with current fashion trends and target a specific audience?
Award Amounts
- 1st Place: $500 cash prize
- 2nd Place: $300 cash prize
- 3rd Place: $200 cash prize
All winners will be mentioned on the American Hat Makers website and social media, and receive a certificate of achievement.
