Waggle Human-Pet Bond Scholarship

Waggle is a pet-focused crowdfunding platform that helps pet guardians raise funds to cover essential veterinary treatment for pets in their care “because we want to help spare them the potential heartache of losing a cherished pet due to money constraints.”

Waggle says, “We believe no pet should be deprived of care because their guardian lacks money. That said, we understand many pet parents are financially strained, especially those enrolled in full-time education.”

Waggle created the Human-Pet Bond Scholarship to help lower the financial strain on college and university students so they have more money available to care for the four-legged friends that emotionally support them in their school endeavors.

About the Waggle Scholarship

Many full-time students are financially strained. This, coupled with the high cost of veterinary care, can be extremely stressful. Waggle created this scholarship to help ease that stress.

Waggle is asking students to apply via an essay contest on the topic of being a financially responsible pet guardian.

Application deadline for current scholarship: November 1, 2024

To be eligible, you must:

reside in the United States or Canada
be enrolled in a full-time college or university program (we reserve the right to request proof of enrollment)
be a pet guardian
not work for Waggle or be related to somebody who does

To enter, you must:

Write a 400- to 600- word essay outlining steps pet guardians can take to prepare for a veterinary emergency so they’re not forced to surrender their pet, deprive them of essential care, or worse, have them euthanized due to financial limitations.

Winners will be selected based on the relevance of their response, the quality of their writing, and their academic standing.

NOTE: You will be prompted to submit your essay when completing the application form. Make sure it is written and saved before your start your application so that you can easily cut and paste it into the appropriate field.
