The College Coach: Virtual College Prep Camp

virtual college prep camp

A special message from The College Coach…

Good afternoon from Collegiate Counseling Services, an independent college admission and scholarship service. I hope this finds you well and enjoying good health!

A few months ago, information was sent regarding a Zoom session for students on college planning, scholarships, and the NCAA Eligibility Center process. The intent was to give students a jump on ascertaining career and college choices, as well as providing scholarship information and preparing student-athletes to qualify for collegiate sports. This is still our intent.

As the current school year ends, it is time to put the plan into action and begin working with rising high school juniors and seniors who will be in the throes of college planning in just a few months. Student-athletes will also benefit from the portion regarding the NCAA Eligibility Center requirements.

The VIRTUAL COLLEGE PREP CAMP is a very worthwhile program to share with high school students and parents as they begin the college planning process (including the search for scholarships). Camps will be offered in August, September, and October on the third week of each month, Monday thru Friday @ 10AM, 3PM, or 6PM.

The cost is $500 per student; however, prices are discounted for multiple participants and groups so please share with your network and local youth organizations. Consider pairing up with a fellow classmate or teammate for the discounted price. Additional students = additional discounts. The Zoom platform allows for parents to join in at no extra cost.

The scholarship information alone is worth the price of admission. Student-athletes will set up their NCAA Profile or Certification account and prepare their academic and athletic portfolio as well as an athletic profile page to share with coaches. Initial Division I and II eligibility will be determined using high school transcripts.

I would very much like to discuss this over the summer in order to plan for fall programs so students can hit the ground running. Please share this with your students, families, and network. If you have any questions, or would like additional information, please contact me.

Thank you for your time,
