Letter from the Editor: March 2026

Dear Readers,

Happy March!

March is a month caught between two seasons — the lingering chill of winter and the first warmth of spring. It’s a time of transition, shaking off the dreariness of the past season and leaning into the promise of renewal.

Wishing you a Happy Spring, Happy Pi Day (3/14), and the luck o’ the Irish to you this month! Be sure to check out the Saint Patrick’s Day infographic in this issue. Saint Patrick led a life of many hardships, twists and turns, but he overcame his obstacles and had a major impact on Christian history.

Palm Sunday is March 29, which means Easter will be coming up soon, probably before we manage to publish our next issue. (But you can read our past Easter articles here.) Easter this year is observed on Sunday, April 5th.

Easter, also called Resurrection Sunday or Pascha, is one of the most important days in the Christian faith. The significance of this holy day is Jesus Christ’s triumph over death, and the promise of eternal life.

So here’s to reflecting on the contrast between darkness and light, bad times and good times, life and death. Here’s to embracing the in-between — those days when the sky can’t decide between rain or sunshine, and we can’t decide if we need a jacket or not. Here’s to trusting that the shifts in the seasons of life, however subtle, are leading us out of the shadows and into a brighter place.

Happy Homeschooling!
