Dear Readers,
Happy December! Hello (almost) winter!
In this chilly but cheerful season, I’m thankful to know that a Creator is in control of it all – the coziness and chaos of Christmastime, the reset and renewal of New Years, the changing of seasons back to spring and then summer again… and everything in between.
I hope you will take time this Christmas to be still and know that He is God, and that He is good and worthy of praise, for all that He is and all He has done for us. He is good! And that is truly GOOD news!
In this issue, you’ll find a bunch of seasonal articles including “Christmas Break Ideas for Teens,” “Hillsdale Winter Break Courses,” “STEM and Sustainable Christmas Tree Farming.”
Do you know the story – and the math – behind “Twelve Days of Christmas“? It’s pretty interesting! Also, be sure to check out “Top Tech Gift Ideas for Teens.” Are any of them on your wish list???
This month’s feature story is about “Adam Kucera: How a Homeschooled Teen Became a Dog Show Champion.” Other articles you might enjoy include a book review of “Teach Me to Pray: Praying God’s Word from A to Z” – I love this book!
This issue also addresses memory problems: “Do You Think You Have a Bad Memory” and “How Social Media Use May Be Undermining Teen Memory.” Train your brain with our fun tips on how to learn the NATO Phonetic Alphabet.
These are just some of the articles, so be sure to take a look at the rest of them, too.
We’re going to follow our own advice, and have planned a bunch of activities over the winter break. So this issue will cover both December 2025 and January 2026, to give us time to complete our projects. But don’t worry, you can find plenty of New Year articles here. Homeschooling Teen will be back in February!
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours. As we close out the year and begin a new one, I wish all of our readers a new year filled with health, happiness, and dreams come true.
Happy Homeschooling!
