“My peace I give to you” (John 14:27)
Did You Know…? The word “peace” appears 429 times in the King James Version of the Bible, with 230 occurrences in the Old Testament and 199 in the New Testament.
The Hebrew term for peace, “shalom,” serves as a greeting, but it also has a deeper meaning. It refers to peace between people, between nations, and between God and humanity. Moreover, its context extends far beyond the mere absence of conflict.
Shalom encompasses the concept of completeness, wholeness, well-being, and harmony. It reflects a holistic state of flourishing in all aspects of life including relational, physical, familial, and spiritual.
Discover and experience God’s shalom through the PEACE OF GOD BIBLE!

My Thoughts
The PEACE OF GOD BIBLE couldn’t have come at a better time. I could sure use some peace right about now!
Families are in crisis, the world has gone mad, and it seems like chaos is everywhere. It’s hard to feel at peace even in your personal life when there’s so much craziness going on around you.
Peace can be elusive… especially worldly peace which is circumstantial, superficial, and dependent on favorable conditions like financial security, political stability, and social harmony.
The good news is…
The peace of God operates on an entirely different level.
Even when circumstances seem chaotic and life doesn’t make sense, God is in control. True peace cannot be found in political movements, social media platforms, or even positive cultural trends. True peace—lasting, transcendent peace—is found only in Jesus Christ, “The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6), and His promises.
The peace of God is described in the Bible as a state of tranquility that surpasses all understanding, guarding the hearts and minds of believers in Christ Jesus. It’s a gift from God, providing calmness even in turbulent times, and is rooted in His character and promises. To experience this peace in our lives, we must center our hearts on God’s Word and trust in His sovereignty, especially during moments of chaos.
If peace is what you seek, the PEACE OF GOD BIBLE is a great way to find peace in your life as you engage with God’s Word. If you wake up anxious about the day, and have trouble sleeping at night, start and end each day by meditating on God’s peace as emphasized in this Bible. You will come to know what the peace of God is, see the part that peace plays in each book of the Bible, and be guided to live by God’s peace.
Consider these practical applications:
- When anxiety strikes, turn to Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This verse gives clear direction and offers genuine hope to the believer in Christ.
- When fear grips your heart, meditate on Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am God. I will strengthen you, and I will help you, and I will uphold you with my right hand of righteousness.” This verse conveys a message of support and comfort, reminding believers that they are not alone in their struggles, and God is there for them.
- When chaos surrounds you, claim the promise of Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” This verse emphasizes the relationship between one’s trust in God and peace in a believer’s life.
From the slipcover with its tranquil mountain scene, to the text layout with serene blue sidebars and comforting “Peace Notes,” the PEACE OF GOD BIBLE gives off a plethora of peaceful vibes. I love the rich two-tone brown leather cover embossed with a mountain design, which is quite appropriate for this Bible. One of my favorite verses is Psalm 121:1-2, which says, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
Additionally, Psalm 72:3 states, “The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.” This verse symbolizes the natural order as a source of divine peace and righteousness, reflecting God’s desire for harmony in the world. Some translations even express it as “May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.”
The PEACE OF GOD BIBLE starts with an introduction that offers tips on how to find God’s peace and keep it, as well as an entire page describing the “Peace Plan” of Paul the apostle. All of the supplementary material in this Bible – which is a lot! – places a special emphasis on the peace of God. The added text is clearly differentiated from the sacred scriptures.
The PEACE OF GOD BIBLE is actually a very beautiful bound Bible! It would be ideal for anyone seeking peace in their life, and it would be a fine gift for someone you love.
Shalom, friend!
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
